LED reflector for UL aircraft

Reflector Landing Star T1 WW – square

Part no.: -
The Landing Star T1 WW square LED reflector is primarily designed to illuminate the aircraft path during landing, taxiing and take-off. It is intended for installation in a narrower type of wing (compared to other versions) of the airplane behind to the cover glass. In addition, this type has an integrated WIG-WAG function (alternating flashing left and right landing lights). The WIG-WAG function can be enabled/disabled (SYNC signal continuously grounded) by the control switch in the cockpit. Up to 4 lights (2 left + 2 right) can be synchronized. In case of failure of the SYNC signal, the light will stay on or flash asynchronously in WIG-WAG mode. Application: Any aircraft with a nominal onboard voltage of 12 V. The metal cover can by grounded or left floating. This solution simplifies installation and saves space, as it needs far fewer additional components than when using an external wig-wag unit.

Installation

The product has 4 holes with a diameter of 4 mm. The product can be fixed either with rivets or screws to diametral size 3,8mm. The product must be covered with transparent cover glass. The metal body of the reflector can be conductively connected to the grounded parts of the aircraft or left be floated. In the electrical installation, 4 wires are connected: 2 power (+12V; GND), 1 for determining the side (left/right) and 1 synchronization signal between the lights.
